Over 40 years of experience in managing sports injuries for professional athletes, more than 36 years in interdisciplinary medical engineering research and development, and over 20 years of industry collaboration experience. Authored 219 papers in journals such as Science Translational Medicine, with multiple articles recognized as ESI Highly Cited Papers. Technology transfer products have obtained 8 medical device registration certificates (6 Class III, 2 Class II), 2 products have received innovative medical device registration certificates, and 3 products were included in the National Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's first batch of additive manufacturing typical application scenarios.

The personalized 3D-printed artificial knee joint developed and commercialized under the leadership of Jia-Kuo Yu received the Gold Medal at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions in 2025. The arthroscopic surgical robot for double-bundle anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, developed and commercialized under the leadership of Jia-Kuo Yu, is the first sports medicine surgical robot in China to obtain a Class III Medical Device Registration Certificate from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), it is also the first robot in the world capable of performing arthroscopic double-bundle reconstruction of both the anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments.
Prof. Barbara GARTNER

Title: Prevention of infection in elite athletes
Prof. Dr. med. Barbara Gärtner is a specialist in microbiology, virology, and infection epidemiology. She considers vaccination to be one of the safest and most effective preventive measures available in modern medicine.

In her role as Senior Physician in the Department of Hospital Hygiene, she serves as a bridge between clinical medicine and corporate health management. Prof. Dr. med. Gärtner draws particular attention to the consequences that low vaccination rates have for businesses.

Consequently, this dedicated microbiologist from the University Hospital in Homburg advocates for a nationwide optimization of influenza vaccination efforts. Foremost among these objectives is the establishment and maintenance of community protection.
Prof. Malcolm Collins
University of Cape Town, South Africa

Malcolm Collins is a Professor within the Health through Physical Activity, Lifestyle and Sports (HPALS) Research Centre and Division of Physiological Sciences at the University of Cape Town (UCT). His doctoral and post-doctoral work, at UCT and the University of Washington in Seattle, respectively, in extracellular matrix biology stimulated his current research focus on elucidating the molecular mechanisms causing common exercise-associated tendon and ligament injuries. He has developed a very productive internationally recognized research team which has published over 170 papers and book chapters. He is a Fellow of the European College of Sport Science, a Member of the Academy of Science of South Africa and Fellow of the University of Cape Town.
Prof. David G. Behm
Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada
Title: Stretching Effects on Injury Incidence and Performance: From a Panacea to a Puzzle
Dr. Behm’s research interests have been diverse with over 450 peer-reviewed articles, with over 45,000 citations (Google scholar h index of 105) exploring neuromuscular responses to stretching, resistance training, balance, fatigue, foam rolling, and other topics. David has authored a number of chapters and the second edition of his book entitled “The Science and Physiology of Flexibility and Stretching: Implications and Applications in Sport Performance and Health”. He has received a number of university, national and international awards such as the National Strength and Conditioning Association Outstanding Sport Scientist award (2014), Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology Honour Award (2015), Canadian Kinesiology Alliance Honour award (2021), Strength and Conditioning Society Honour award (2020) among others. He has emphasized public engagement with many appearances on the internet, radio, and television, a highly viewed TEDx talk on stretching, former strength consultant for the Canadian Olympic curling gold medal winning team (2006) and numerous articles in popular fitness magazines and newspapers. Dr. Behm attempts to bridge the gap between his athletic background (drafted into the Canadian Football League, junior ice hockey player, provincial champion in both tennis and squash) and his research pursuits.

Prof. Filippo Migliorini

Professor Filippo Migliorini is an orthopaedic surgeon, researcher, and academic with international experience in orthopaedics, sports and regenerative medicine, and musculoskeletal research. He is a Professor at the Link Campus University of Rome (Italy) and is also appointed at the Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (Germany). He is Chief Scientific Officer of the Research in Clinical Department at the Eifelklinik St. Brigida in Simmerath and works as an orthopaedic and trauma surgeon in Bolzano, Italy. He obtained his medical degree with honours, completed specialist training in Orthopaedics and Traumatology in Germany, and earned a PhD in Biomechanics in Germany. Professor Migliorini has authored approximately 600 PubMed-indexed scientific publications, with over 11,000 citations and an H-index exceeding 50. His research focuses on joint arthroplasty, sports medicine, cartilage restoration, biomechanics, evidence synthesis, and clinical outcomes research. He holds executive and deputy editorial roles in leading orthopaedic and medical publications. In addition to his academic activities, he is actively involved in guideline development, international education, and scientific consultancy, contributing to the advancement of evidence-based orthopaedic practice worldwide. Since 2021, Prof Migliorini has been considered a top 1% cited author worldwide, according to a Stanford University observatory.
